Message from our founder
Having gone through two physical traumas, I have gained valuable insight into the connection between our mind and body. However, my motivation for starting Grounded 1002 stems from my day-to-day experience in the corporate world.
As someone who has spent almost 2 decades progressing through different industries and roles, I often found myself struggling between the need to make data-driven decisions and following my intuition. I often felt like I possessed a unique superpower in the form of my intuition when working for the Fortune 500's, but I also had moments of self-doubt and imposter syndrome when facing peers who only prioritised cold, hard facts, particularly at the mid management level. Interestingly, intuitive thinking was welcome at the C-level. This
HBS article from 2019 is one I used to reference regularly, but I was pleasantly surprised to have come across
this one today which further solidifies why intuition is so important.
I've come to realize that it is important to balance both aspects of ourselves - the analytical and the intuitive. Over the past few years, I've been thrilled seeing that the idea that spiritual individuals do "hippy things" while corporate people do "productive things" is being challenged.
Today is the new moon in the sign of Gemini. The sign of Gemini is represented by the symbol of twins who represent duality and versatility. Balancing the intuitive and the analytical is important because it allows us to make more informed decisions by combining logical reasoning with gut instincts or intuition. The intuitive can help us identify patterns and connections that may not be immediately apparent with analysis alone, while analysis can help us evaluate options objectively, weight pros and cons, and make rational choices based on data. Ultimately, a balance between the two leads to better decision making to benefit both personal and professional aspects of life.

Known for their intellectual proficiency and sharp analytical skills, Geminis are also social and friendly individuals.
