#035: How to level up through journaling

#035: How to level up through journaling
Emailed: April 8th, 2024

With today's date marking April 8, 2024, we find ourselves amidst a potent combination of celestial events. With the New Moon Solar Eclipse in the fire sign of Aries, our minds are likely buzzing away.

In this newsletter, we're going to discover how we can harness these energies to nurture our minds, bodies, and souls, specifically through the lens of journaling. Let's dive in.

Journaling for the Mind: Finding the Stillness Within

Our talk on YouTube about an #intuitivelifestyle includes tips that can enhance your life, focusing on mind, body, and soul. Let's talk about journaling.

Journaling can serve as a profound tool for nurturing the mind and fostering inner clarity. And by focusing on the mind, we have more space and awareness to nurture our souls and bodies, as well.

If you haven’t tried it before, engaging in what we call a "brain dump" exercise, where you liberate your thoughts onto paper without judgment or restraint, can be a good place to start your journaling journey.

Want a more structured approach? Here are five starting points/prompts to ignite your introspective journey.

1. Gratitude Reflection

Start by jotting down three things you're grateful for, and expand on each to explore why these things mean so much to you.

2. Inner Dialogue

Engage in a dialogue with your inner self, posing questions like "What do I need to release?" or "What am I truly longing for?" and allow your intuition to guide your responses.

3. Vision Casting

Visualize your ideal future and detail your dreams, aspirations, and goals in vivid detail, focusing on how you would feel if you were to achieve these things.

4. Emotional Check-In

Explore your emotions by identifying how you're feeling in the present moment and delving into the underlying thoughts and experiences contributing to these emotions.

5. Daily Reflection

Reflect on the events of the day, noting moments of growth, challenges overcome, and areas for improvement, fostering self-awareness and personal growth.

If you have #stixandstones Palo Santo or #rockwithcare guasha, dont forget to use these before journaling. The benefits from either tool get the mind relaxed and let the thoughts flow freely.

What's Happening in the Cosmos?

Our founder Neeta always says "take what you want, and leave the rest." Of course, this also applies to celestial events we are about to talk about in the following paragraphs. Regardless of whether you believe or follow modern day astrology, these cosmic events are still happening in the sky, and you can decide what you'd like to take away from their occurrence for your own life and well-being.

Today, on April 8th, a Total Solar Eclipse swept across parts of North America, symbolizing a time of powerful new beginnings. If it feels right for you, this potent energy can be harnessed to reset your wellness goals or shed negative habits that no longer serve you. This is because, similar to a new moon, solar eclipses signify fresh starts and new chapters.

This specific eclipse also falls in the fiery sign of Aries. Aries is associated with action, independence, and a drive to be your best self, prompting you to look at your life with these lenses, if it feels right for you.

Alongside todays eclipse, Mercury, the planet of communication, is also in retrograde until April 25th. Astrologers say that mercury retrogrades can lead to delays, miscommunications, and frustration. A reminder to double or triple check all forms of communication right now. Particularly, for super important things, it might be worth waiting until Mercury is moving normally again from April 25th to pick back up here.
