the moon cycle

Don't forget to look up.

Today, August 1st, marks the second of 4 super moons in a row. More on this in our next newsletter in 2 weeks.

Message from our founder

With today being full moon, a time known for taking action, I've decided to do just that. I've invited Selin Oğuz, one of our talented freelancers, to step into the spotlight and contribute to our newsletter several times a year.

Selin knows Grounded 1002 really well, and I'm excited to gain her perspective and unique point of view on what our brand represents.

By the way, the full moon falls in the sign of Aquarius - a sign which represents many characteristics including independence, freedom, and future focus.

Grounded 1002 is a #cosmicpowered brand. So, if we didn’t take cues from the universe, it just wouldn’t be right.

Neeta

Grounded 1002

Hello, Selin here.

As Neeta mentioned already, almost a year and a half ago now I came on as a freelance content writer for Grounded 1002

Through the countless things that have changed in my life since then, a few things have remained the same: my admiration for the way Neeta is building her brand, my love for her now-five-year-old son who continues to be one of my favourite people ever, and the presence of #rockwithcare in my bag - that’s through 10 countries and 10 adventures I’ve embarked on since taking on this role, to be specific.

I reckon these three things will remain the same in my life for quite some time to come. In the meantime, though, I wanted to share some of the ways in which Grounded 1002’s #rockwithcare has fit into my life.

I’m a firm believer that #rockwithcare is for anyone and everyone with a body. To prove my point, I want to point out the fact that that’s coming from a Zoomer who is constantly travelling and remotely working for a media startup all the while balancing a freelance career and a rollercoaster of a love life.

I hope these guasha and wellness tricks fit into your life in ways you hadn’t perhaps thought of before.

As Neeta regularly says, please feel free to “take what you want, and leave the rest.”

1. #rockwithcare works wonders on your head and scalp. This applies anytime, but especially if you have a tension headache or are experiencing a good ol’ hangover. Take your tool all along your forehead, temples, and up in your hair, and thank me later.

2. Don’t forget that our feet aren’t made for shoes. Consider taking them off once in a while and wiggle #rockwithcare on the soles of your feet, including the space between the ball of your foot and the tip of your toes for relief you might not even know you need.

3. Using your guasha very gently on your abdomen, towards your groin area, is a lifesaver when experiencing period cramps. Couple with heat and forgo the Aleve if you can!  With just 1-minute of using #rockwithcare on the tummy, you may experience a flatter stomach too. Watch this YouTube video to learn more.

4. When I’m not writing stuff for a living, I’m usually scrolling on Instagram. Sad, I know, but that’s all the more reason to give my fingers some love. You should do the same if you aren’t already. Try following along with this guasha for the fingers YouTube video for good pointers.

I hope these suggestions help you take action to take care of yourself during this Aquarius full moon. If you have any questions or any tips or tricks of your own that you want to share, just reply to this email.

Thanks for reading.
